VHC has been supporting Light OF Hope PH clean energy initiatives since 2019 through VHC representative former Cebu City Councilor Alvin M. Dizon.

1st batch Family beneficiaries in Caubian island womens group

Caubian Gamay is an island of Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines. Located in the Camotes Sea, it is approximately 13 kilometers (8.1 mi) north from Getafe, Bohol and 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) east from Mactan Island. According to the 2020 census, the island has a population of 2,429. With an area of around 0.04km2, Caubian Gamay has an estimated population density of 60,725/km2. After the deployment for the 1st batch of the Solar Cloudgrid Project in Caubian Island, numerous other families on the island expressed their desire to reap the same benefits and contribute to the solution of mitigating climate change.

Pangan‑an island is a barangay in the city of Lapu-Lapu. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 2,348. This represented 0.47% of the total population of Lapu-Lapu. It is situated east of Mactan and right next to Olango island. There are already family beneficiaries on a waitlist for thr next batch of future deployments of the Solar Cloudgrid Project in the island.
